About
Ryan Stonitsch joined Albert Bichot in 2019. Ryan entered the industry on the distributor sales side, fell in love with old-world wines, and immediately went after his current certifications – CSW, WSET L3, and WSG Bourgogne Master level. What he loves the most about his role is the feeling of fulfillment from teaching mode, sharing wines and little gems of insight with others that have a passion to explore. When he’s not enjoying Gevrey-Chambertin with a traditional Charcuterie spread (Duck mousse for bonus points), you can find him in a boxing ring (Muah Thia, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA), traveling, listening to classic rock, or relaxing outdoors. If Ryan were a Bourgogne Appellation: “My favorite rouge appellation is Chambolle-Musigny, offering a crazy sublime elegance that lingers on forever. However, no person on earth would describe me that way. I’m more of a Gevrey-Chambertin kind of fellow; I can be tight and maybe a little stoic up front, sometimes appear burly and rustic (maybe even intense), with a little grip. But, mid palate I tend to be expressive with a smile on my face. I’m hoping just as age worthy…”
